MGM Higher Secondary School Dimapur marks its 39th annual day with cultural events and messages on values, education and unity.

DIMAPUR — MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, marked its 39th annual day on November 15 on the theme “Spectrum of dreams” with Geoffrey Yaden, chief editor and publisher of Nagaland Post, as the chief guest.
According to an update, Yaden on the occasion highlighted the importance of an education that encompasses social, emotional, physical, and moral growth. He reminded students of the significance of discipline, values, and perseverance, and encouraged parents and teachers to guide children together.
He said that education should focus on developing moral and ethical values for a healthy society.
Principal Reji Abraham emphasised the significance of the theme, highlighting the role of determination and innovative thinking in shaping the future of every student.
Fr. Giju George, vice president, delivered the presidential address, commending the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. He recalled the journey of MGM since its inception in 1985 and acknowledged the contributions of past principals, staff, and alumni.

Fr. Giju expressed deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of teachers and the steadfast support of parents, urging the school community to remain united and committed to nurturing future generations.
Akaholi Huska, speaking on behalf of parents, lauded the school’s academic excellence, while Mughato Swu, representing alumni, expressed pride in his formative years at MGM and gratitude for the opportunities received.
The evening progressed into an array of cultural performances, and The Mar Theodosius Award was conferred upon deserving students in recognition of outstanding achievement and dedication.
