DIMAPUR — MGM College, Midland, observed the International Day of Yoga on June 20 at its auditorium with participation from faculty, staff, students, delegates from various institutions, and community members.
Sponsored by the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi, Rita Singh, State Mahila President of Patanjali and yoga instructor, conducted a session on “Discover the power of yoga”, highlighting yoga as a way of life and demonstrating various postures and their health benefits.
According to a press release, Fr. Shaiju Philip, Administrator of MGM College, spoke on the importance of yoga in promoting physical health, mental wellness, and self-discipline.
Dr. Dipsunder Sahu, Research Officer at the Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Nagaland, delivered a lecture on stress management and holistic health, explaining the scientific benefits of yoga.
