Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): MGM College observed its 3rd fresher’s day on June 22 with the Archbishop of Calcutta Diocese under the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius, as the chief guest.
Dr. Joseph exhorted the freshers to maintain good aspirations in life, have God’s grace in correlation with planned hard work and also have constant conscious effort for victory.
He encouraged the students on three aspects of life: to grow and develop, to make life abundant and celebrate physical and eternal life - a balance of both. He added that education is a medium to transfer cultural heritage and values to the generations.
On the occasion, the college conferred “Priyanka memorial award and rolling memento” to the topper in BA 2nd semester in memory of Priyanka Ganta.
