MGM College explore Gandhi's principles through essay competition

DIMAPUR — MGM College, Dimapur, organised an essay writing competition on October 2 to promote literary skills, critical thinking, and creative expression among its students.

According to a press release, the event provided a platform for 12 participants to showcase their talents.

The competition aimed to foster a love of writing, improve writing skills, and encourage thoughtful analysis of Gandhian topics. This allowed students to explore Gandhi's ideas creatively, deepening their understanding of his principles and promoting a culture of critical thinking and intellectual discourse.

The participants were given one hour to complete their handwritten essays on previously assigned topics.

The essay competition winners were Wahida Begum Tapader, 3rd Semester B.Com. (first), Sanjana Maghay, 5th Semester B.A. (second), and Siamthianmawi, 1st Semester B.A. (third).
