
KOHIMA — The annual Banuo Mezhür (BM) Memorial Basketball Tournament, which began on November 1 amongst three sister schools - Mezhür Higher Secondary School (MHSS), Fernwood School, and Dainty Buds School - ended on November 2 in Kohima.
In the high school boys' category, Mezhür Higher Secondary School emerged victorious, defeating Dainty Buds School in the final match. Mezhür Higher Secondary School won the high school girls' category as well, defeating Fernwood School in the final.
At the higher secondary level, in both boys' and girls' categories, MHSS also secured victories, overcoming Dainty Buds HSS in the respective final matches.

The tournament, which is conducted annually at Mezhür Higher Secondary School since 2002, was initiated with the aim of inspiring students to cultivate a sense of sportsmanship and engage in sports activities
The tournament also aims at promoting the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood among the three schools, all administered by the descendants of late Banuo Mezhür.
