Mewetsho-u Dianu from Pfutseromi village was crowned ‘Miss Phek 2018’ at a spectacular event of Miss Phek District Beauty Pageant 2018 held at Phek Town Hall on November 9.
Speaking to
Eastern Mirror, Dianu elatedly said: “Being crowned Miss Phek is a dream come true.” She attributed her crown to God for “answering her prayer” and also thanked her family, friends, and well wishers for supporting throughout her Miss Phek journey.
The newly crowned Miss Phek gave the readers a speak-peak of her next step, “My next plan is to work harder and put more effort for the upcoming Beauty pageant Contest (Miss Nagaland).”
Meanwhile, Qwuqwulu Tunyi from Kikruma village and Kuno Resuh from Pholami village were crowned as the first and second runners-up respectively.
Dianu, who was also adjudged as Miss Perfect 10 had obtained a direct entry to the forthcoming Miss Nagaland Beauty Pageant 2018, while the runner-up gets direct entry to Miss Diva Queen as well.
The subtitles winners included--Miss Congeniality - Qwuqwulu Tunyi; Miss Ramp Walk - Mesulou Thele; Miss Photogenic - Tawe Yitsunyu; Miss Multimedia - Nuzholu Hesu; and Miss Talent - Vekhro-u Ngone.
Judges for the contest were Rosou Rhi, president of Nagaland Designer Association; Toshi Lemtur, president of Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland; Ape Puro, proprietor, Life Fitness; Rekha Rose Dukru, Agri Entrepreneur (Farmer) Co-proprietor, Eden Farm; and Medole Lasuh, Senior Stew onboard Superyacht ET, Florida. The resource persons for the evening were Peweu Tunyi, Phek district systematic voters education and electoral participation (SVEEP) icon and Medole Lasuh.
Also, the special appearance of the show was Ruopfuzhano Whiso, the FBB Femina Miss India Nagaland.
The official artists and designer of the event were-- Chubala Yimchunger as make-up artist and Vevotsolü Nakro as hair dresser; Mephruwe-u Akami, Lhichete-ü Khutso, and Neisavonuo Rupreo as designers, while official photographer was Theja Thepz.
The event was organised under the aegis of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland and co-powered by Go Naga. The convenor of the event was Dode Nakro and the event coordinator was Diwe-u Thele.
