Renowned Naga artiste Methaneilie Jütakhrie launches Hyundai Bayon at Vuto Hyundai in Kohima.
KOHIMA — Renowned Naga artiste Methaneilie Jütakhrie officially launched the Hyundai Bayon, an Intelligent Utility Vehicle (IUV), at Vuto Hyundai in Kohima on Friday in the presence of the dealership's proprietor, Metuo Liezietsu.
During the launch, sales consultant Kenei Yhoshu highlighted the vehicle's key features and specifications. The Bayon is powered by a 1.5-litre engine that produces 115 PS of power and 143.8 Nm of maximum torque.
It is available with two transmission options: a six-speed manual transmission and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The vehicle has an introductory ex-showroom price of INR 9,99,900.
Yhoshu stated that the Bayon is built on Hyundai's Global K Enhanced platform, which is engineered to meet five-star Indian safety standards.
The vehicle comes with more than 35 standard safety features and 80 advanced safety features.
He also highlighted the Bayon's generative artificial intelligence (AI)-powered voice assistant, developed in collaboration with Perplexity and SoundHound, describing it as a first-in-segment feature.
The Hyundai Bayon is available in seven variants. Its colour options include six monotone shades, namely Fiery Red, Atlas White, Ecotronic Grey, Golden Bronze, Titanium Black and Classy Blue. Matte finishes are available in Titanium Black Matte and Classy Blue Matte, while dual-tone options include Fiery Red with a Titanium Black roof and Atlas White with a Titanium Black roof.
