DIMAPUR — The Merhülietsa Colony Gate was inaugurated on Friday by K Neibou Sekhose, chairman of T Khel Council, Kohima village.
The gate was constructed under the Iconic Project 2025–26 initiative of Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, MLA of 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Rhütso expressed hope that the gate would bring prosperity, peace and unity to the colony.
He noted that traditional Naga village gates symbolise protection and blessings and prayed that everyone passing through the gate would be blessed with good health, safety and well-being.
In his address, Sekhose said, “May this gate stand tall for unity, peace and progress of the state capital.”
