DIMAPUR — Mercy Eye Centre opened its new facility at Urban Haat Road, Chakhesang Colony, Dimapur, on Tuesday.
According to an update, the new facility ushers in a new era of healthcare in ophthalmology for the people of Nagaland.
The centre was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Pongsing Konyak.
The proprietor, Dr. Chingkup Konyak, shared on the journey of Mercy Eye Centre. The centre which was started with a concern and desire to serve the people of Nagaland and along the Indo-Myanmar border, continues to provide eyecare in remotest parts of Nagaland by conducting various eye camps, he said.
The specialty centre was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Tuisem A Shishak.

The new centre features state-of-the art diagnostic tools in the field of ophthalmology, which includes OCT, Fundus Photography with Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Humphrey Visual Field Analyser, IOL MASTER 700, YAG Laser, Argon green Laser, A scan and B scan.
The operating theatre complex consists of three modular theatres equipped with advanced technological equipment for tertiary eye care like CENTURION® Vision System for cataract surgery, CONSTELLATION® Vision System for retinal surgery and OPMI LUMERA® 300 advanced operating microscope.
