DIMAPUR — With an aim to promote scientific inquiry and critical thinking among students, Meluri conducted a district-level science seminar on Tuesday at the EBRC hall in Meluri town on the theme “The quantum age begins: potentials and challenges.”
An update from the office of the Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO), Meluri, stated that the programme began with a welcome address and introduction of contestants by the chairperson, Pharhetho, LDA, followed by the keynote address delivered by Kaitunchap Newmai, SDEO Meluri, who emphasised the importance of nurturing curiosity and innovation among young learners.
It stated that students from various schools presented thought-provoking papers, exploring both the potential and the challenges of quantum science.

It stated that Pfülürü Pichurü of Class 9 from St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Meluri, won the first position, while Kinglesü Jangri of Class 10 from GHS Sütsü and Tselamsü Tongru of Class 8 from GMS Meluri village won the second and third positions respectively.
The prize distribution and photo session were attended by Thsuchuvi Nyusou, ToT.
In his closing remarks, the SDEO expressed gratitude to the participants, teachers, jurists and the organising team for their dedication and contributions in making the seminar a success.
