Meluri DPDB meeting reviews poor road conditions on the Meluri–Akash Bridge and Chakhabama–Kikrüma highway, while discussing the Reform Utsav programme.
DIMAPUR — The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Meluri district was held on September 11 at the DB’s Court, DC Office, Meluri, under the chairmanship of Advisor, NSDMA and Inland Waterways, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting and deliberated on the poor condition of the National Highway connecting Meluri–Akash Bridge and Chakhabama–Kikrüma.
Highlighting the importance of the highway as a vital connectivity route passing through Meluri district, Nyuthe stated that the matter would be taken up with the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) authority for necessary improvement and maintenance.
EAC Meluri, Zuchibemo Ezung, briefed the board on the Reform Utsav programme, informing that the awareness programme would commence on October 2. He highlighted its key features, activities and objectives, emphasising the importance of public awareness and participation.

Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB, Phuleshe K Yepthomi, requested all heads of departments to extend their cooperation and support for the effective implementation of the Reform Utsav programme.
The meeting was attended by members of the board and heads of various departments.
The chairman called upon all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure the effective implementation of government programmes and developmental initiatives for the benefit of the people of Meluri district.
