DIMAPUR — The Office of the Sub Divisional Education Officer (SDEO), Meluri, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, conducted the Meluri District Students' Science Seminar on May 30 at St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Meluri, commemorating National Science Day.
According to a late report, themed "Empowering Indian youth for global leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat", the event was the inaugural and first-ever district-level activity for students since Meluri's official attainment of district status.
Eight students from four schools in Meluri participated in the seminar, and the event culminated in the announcement of winners, with Lorraine Singson, Class 10, St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, securing first place, followed by Atsürhe Nyuthe, Class 10, St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, in second place, and Atsaking Pechungri, Class 10, S Pethury School, in third place.

Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners, and participation certificates along with cash were also given to all the participants.
The SDEO Meluri, in his address, expressed pride in the students' achievements and emphasised the importance of nurturing scientific temper and creativity among young minds.
Meanwhile, the Office of the SDEO, Meluri, extended gratitude to the Department of Science and Technology, schools, judges, and participants for their contributions to the event.
