DIMAPUR — Meisen Jamir, daughter of Tali Jamir of Kohima (Chuchuyimlang), received the prestigious Shanta Keshavan and N Keshavan Endowment Award for Outstanding Graduation Project at the 43rd convocation ceremony at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for her project titled ‘Ladakh Diaries’.

Pramod Varma, former chief architect of India's digital identity programmes Aadhaar and UPI, presented her the award, which included a cash prize of INR 1 lakh, according to an update.

The award, which was instituted in 2017, is given to the best graduation project that demonstrates an exceptional level of ideation, innovation, and execution.

According to the jury, Meisen's project identified and innovatively used Ladakh's local symbolism in a contemporary living space while retaining the symbols' original identity and translating their relevance through her textile skills.
