Dimapur, April 23 (EMN): Decrying government apathy towards fulfilling the demand put forward by the Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO), the public organisation under the banner of Medziphema Town Mechü Krotho (MTMK) and Medziphema Town Women Organisation (MTWO) resolved to stand with MTYO and pursue the matter until it achieve a logical conclusion.
In a joint statement, MTMK president Akhoto Kuotsu and general secretary Khrielie Iralu and MTWO president Rüüzeü Khate and general secretary Kelengunuo Zumvu, have deplored the apathetic attitude of the State government regarding road repairing work carried out from Zero Point to SASRD Gate, Medziphema, which remain unfulfilled till date despite repeated appeals.
It alleged that the concerned contractor had repaired only potholes despite allocation of Rs 47,07,000 which deteriorated within the first month of the work. It also accused the present government of not resolving the infrastructure development work at Medziphema town which started in 2015. It said alleged that all works have come to a grinding halt despite signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two contending parties.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, MTMK and MTWO reiterated to stand with the MTYO and pursue the matter until it achieve a logical conclusion.
