Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): Parliamentary Secretary for Municipal Affairs Zhaleo Rio, on Tuesday, inaugurated and unfurled the plaque of the new Sub Divisional Agricultural Office (SDAO) at Medziphema.
The Rio in his speech said it is a red letter day for Medziphema sub-division as the long felt need has been fulfilled. He said the inaugural of SDAO office is a fruit of development and a good sign of the government’s performance. Medziphema is one of the oldest administrative headquarters solely dependent on agro-based crops with great potential and which is also centrally located, said Rio. He also encouraged the public and officials to improve organic and improved seed methods for income generation and surplus production.
He expressed gratitude to the government and also to the department in particular for the new SDAO which will benefit both rural and urban sectors.
The program was chaired by ADC Medziphema Vikweno Chale, a brief report about the establishment was given by Director Agriculture Helie Rüpreo while short speech was given by President Mechü Krotho Akhoto Kuotsu and vote of thanks by DAO Dimapur Atoi Sema.
