Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): In a noble gesture, proprietors of M/S Medico namely Basu Damani and Arvind Damani have announced that they would provide free medicines to needy Covid patients.
An update from M/S Medico stated that medicines would be provided to all needy patients including police staff on production of valid prescription from designated Covid centres. The medicine distribution is being initiated with approval from the district administration, commissioner of police, medical superintendent, nodal officer for Covid and assistant drug controller of Dimapur.
All the concerned beneficiaries are asked to collect the medicines from Lions Club Dimapur from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm. It also informed that out station patients could place their prescription through WhatsApp to Naro Imchen on phone No. 9612633069 along with name and number of the person who would collect the medicines from Lions Club.
Basu Damani has further invited all likeminded people to join hands in the fight against Covid pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Medical Dealers’ Association (NMDA) has lauded the generosity of its general secretary, Basu Damani, who have decided to provide medicines without any charge to those genuine and financially weak Covid patients during this difficult time.
The association president Ato Yeptho has assured all supports undertaken by Damani in his noble cause towards the humanity. Stating that NMDA has been working tirelessly days and night by providing services to the public, the association further affirmed to continue working in unity in the larger interest of public health.
NMDA also appreciated all the pharmacies, medicine dealers and their family members who have been working as frontline worker to support the health sector of the state.
