Dimapur, March 12 (EMN): Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Peren, Dr. Tiala, while stressing on regularity to duty, requested all the officers and staff to be in their place of posting for better service delivery.
Dr. Tiala said this at the District Review meeting on March 7 in the CMO’s conference hall, Peren in the presence of District Programme Officers (DPOs), Medical Officers (MOs) and health workers from the health centres, district and Block Programme Management Unit staff, NHM.
Dr. Tiala informed that health mela will be held on March 16 at New Tesen village at 9 a.m. She urged all concerned staff to coordinate for the success of the programme.
Dr. Khrielasanuo, DPO RCH/UIP, made a comparative analysis on last year January IPPI 2016 and this year IPPI January 2017. She also highlighted the difference of complete immunisation and full immunisation in which she said complete immunisation includes booster doze whereas full immunisation is only till measles.
She informed that the 2nd Phase IPPI will be held on April 2. She also informed that there will be four rounds immunisation in Mission Indradhanush starting from March 7 and till June 2017. She highlighted about the National Deworming Day which will continue from March 10 to 15.
Stating that the Department of Social Welfare and School Education will be actively involved along with the Medical Department in carrying out the programme, she appealed all health workers to give their full cooperation and support and to work sincerely. Explaining on the dosage of medicine Albendazole, she said children from 1 year and below 2 years should be administered half tablet (200mg), while children from 2- 19 years should be given one tablet (400mg).
The next review meeting has been fixed on April 5.
