A new office complex for the establishment of the Peren district chief medical officer has been inaugurated. Commissioner & Secretary for Health & Family Welfare, M Patton inaugurated the office of the medical officer at Peren headquarter on January 27.
After unveiling the monolith M Patton addressed the gathering where he stressed on the importance of Medical Department stating that we should not perform for the sake of performance as we deal human lives.
He also said that with the inaugural of the new office building ‘We should also renew our commitment for the people. It is not only for the department but for the whole people of the district so everything should be utilized and taken good care for the best interest of the people. ‘
Deputy Commissioner of Peren district, Peter Lichamo congratulated the chief medical officer’s establishment and the department. He said that a sincere officer in this transitional period was ‘really an asset to the district. He expressed happiness that another building coming up here means another department functioning very actively.’
The principal director of the Health and Family Welfare department, Dr. Nandira Changkija, who also spoke during the occasion, urged the people to take care of the property to serve the public in the best way. ‘We need understanding, co-ordination and co-operation for the benefit of all,’ she said while referring to many land owner problems in the state.
