Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, commemorated the 7th Ayurveda Day by organising awareness programme and free medical camp at Ram Janaki Vidya Secondary School in Dimapur on October 22.
The programme was organised by RARC under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH, government of India.
During the programme, Dr. Deepak Rahangdale shared on Ayurveda for mental health wherein he stressed on the burden of mental disorder, importance of mental health, types of mental health and benefits of yoga.
Dr. Neethu S Mohan also shared with the students on adverse drug reaction through food and drug and educated them on various health related benefits.
During the Ayurveda Day celebrations, which is observed from September 12 to October 23, various events on the themes Ayurveda for holistic health, Ayurveda for millineals, Ayurveda Aahar, Ayurveda for senior citizens and Ayurveda for mental wellbeing were held with an aim to promote scientificity of Ayurveda with whole of government approach by creating Jan Sandesh, Jan Bhagidari, Jan Aandolan for Jan Arogya of people.
The free medical camp for the students and staff of Ram Janaki Vidya Secondary School was conducted in the school campus.
