Media delegation from Nagaland calls on Governor

DIMAPUR — Following the recent media exposure visit to Bihar, a media delegation from Nagaland, comprising seven journalists and led by P Sophie, Head of Office, PIB & CBC, Kohima, along with two officials from PIB, Kohima, called on the Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, at Lok Bhavan in Kohima on Wednesday.
A PIB Kohima report stated that the delegation has briefed the Governor on their experiences during the press tour, where they witnessed the rich cultural and historical heritage of Bihar as well as various development initiatives undertaken by the State government.
Interacting with the visiting media team, the Governor shared his observations on the developmental progress of Bihar and highlighted how sustained efforts, dedicated leadership and well-planned policies contribute to long-term and sustainable development. He also emphasised the important role of the media in promoting awareness and constructive public discourse.

It stated that the Governor has appreciated the initiative of PIB Nagaland in organising such exposure visits for media professionals, stating that such programmes help journalists gain broader perspectives and strengthen inter-state understanding.
It mentioned that the PIB Nagaland media exposure tour to Bihar was conducted from March 16 to the 21st, 2026. During the visit, the delegation toured several important places including Patna, Nalanda, Rajgir and Bodh Gaya, covering heritage, tourism and development-related sites.
