Meban, Honk and Kikon win Hornbill ‘King of the Hills’ series

Winners in various categories of the King of the Hill series - Hornbill Mountain Bike Festival 2022 - at Kisama on Thursday

Kisama, Dec. 8 (EMN):
The King of the Hills series, organised as part of the Hornbill Festival, culminated here at Kisama on Thursday with 16 participants from within and outside Nagaland competing in the downhil motor biking event

Participants from Shillong, Assam, and a few riders from Nagaland rode down from the mountain top (above Naga Heritage village) to the main arena, Kisama. 

Organised by the Nagaland Cycling Association (NCA), the event promotes tourism adventure through sports, which have been going on in the past few years.

Earlier, joint director of Tourism department, Veyielo Doulo, flagged off the event.

In the Hardtail category, Meban (2:24) won the first position, followed by Amedeus (2:29) and Adrian Vizo (2:56) in the second and third positions respectively.

In the full-suspension category, Ismamil Honk (2:02), Meban Aiboklang suiam (2:15) and Shalo Kent (2:18) were placed in the first, second and third positions respectively.

Dame wanki ha 'o' suiam (2:25) was placed fourth and Kevilebo Zhotso (2:38) came fifth.

For locals, Midan Kikon (2:48), Seyieo (3:03) and Veinü victor (3:31), won the first, second and third positions respectively.
