Nagaland State Training Centre of Manpower Development and Management Institute (MDMI), Shillong, was inaugurated in the 5th floor of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NSCB) Building in Dimapur by Velasa Nakro, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, on June 2.
In his address, Nakro has appreciated the role played by NSCB for the development of rural economy of Nagaland. He has advised the officers and staff of the bank to maintain transparency in their works and to take extra pain to be customer friendly and to come out with innovative schemes.
Nakro has also lauded the role of MDMI for the skill and capacity building training provided to the cooperative banks and other stakeholders since its establishment in 1998. He said with the opening of Nagaland Training Centre at Dimapur, the cooperatives would get a boost and march towards progress with trained manpower.
BK Thadani, vice chairman MDMI and Special Officer NSCB, in his welcome address, spoke highly of Dr. JB Dutta, Director of MDMI, who had dedicated his entire service career to the cause of the cooperatives of trhe NE region.
V Chelladurai, GM (OIC) NABARD Nagland, told about the importance of human resource development (HRD) needed for skill and competence building in the cooperative sector.
Meanwhile, Dr. Dutta, in his keynote address, informed that two back to back programme would be conducted in the centre for the bank personnel from June 2-7 as well as one workshop for the members of the SHGs, JLGs, farmers clubs and PACS on June 5 and 6.
S Atovi Sema, Managing Director NSCB, has chaired the meeting while Imtilemba Longkumer, General Manager NSCB, said the vote of thanks.
