(EM Images)[/caption] Our Correspondent Mokokchung, Oct. 19 (EMN): The Mokokchung District Martial Art Association (MDMAA) coaching camp cum selection for the Olympic Games 2019 got culminated at Multi-sports Complex, Mokokchung on Saturday. Thungchanbemo, SDO (Civil) Mokokchung, was the special guest at the closing ceremony. He told the gathering that ‘martial art, regardless of its various forms and violent potential, is meant to be used primarily for peace. It is more about learning self-defence and nurturing a spirit of discipline'. He went on to explain that martial arts can help a person to develop a strong mind, dedication, and humility. He urged the parents to encourage their children to continue their endeavours in the field of any martial art. Medal achievers from various martial art disciplines were also felicitated during the closing ceremony. A special demonstration of katas and skills was also displayed by the coaching students and instructors from all disciplines. President of MDAA, Imkummeren Jamir also spoke at the event. More than 35 students were imparted training in the disciplines of boxing, wushu, karate, taekwondo, inside kungfu, muay-thai, kickboxing and new kungfu during the coaching camp.
