Mokokchung, August 27: With the aim to promote the constitutional rights awareness among the student community, the Mokokchung District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) conducted its second essay competition at Mokokchung Law College on August 27.
The competition was conducted on the topic, “Important of Fundamental Rights,” which was attended by students from higher secondary schools and colleges around Mokokchung.Each institute was represented by two students. The result of the competition will be declared on September 1, informed MDLSA officials. MDLSA also informed that competition will present cash prizes for the winners and certificates for the participants.
Meanwhile, MDLSA also informed that on September 1 it would launch a Legal Aid Clinic in District Jail, Mokokchung. Simultaneously, an awareness programme on rights of prisoners and basic rights will be conducted for the inmates.
