Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Mongsenbai Youngsters gets through to the semi-finals of the MDFA Trophy 2017 by beating Grand Elites 6-0. Sentilemzung scored the first goal in the first 2 minutes of the game while the second and the third goal came in the 13th and 19th minute by Kilangnukshi and Punuru Nienu.
Punuru scored the fourth goal in the third minute of the second half. The Grand Elite defense line proved too weak for the Youngsters as they scored the fifth goal in the 55th minute. Nungsangmeren, the striker from Grand Elite got an opportunity to open the account for the team, however, the striker couldn’t control the ball and it went pass the net.
Punuru scored a hat-trick in the 69th minute, making him the biggest contender for the highest goal scorer of the tournament.
