Mokokchung, Feb. 9 (EMN): An unveiling ceremony for the ‘4th Master Shield Trophy’ was held at Circuit House Conference Hall in Mokokchung on February 8.
The trophy was formally unveiled by Rongsennungla Imchen, deputy project director of the Agriculture Technology Management Agency of Mokokchung.
During the event, she underscored that life lessons can be taught through sports. She said sports impart not only discipline but teach people life lessons that are important for them as they grow.
Imchen asserted also that the very centre of sports help people learn about teamwork, fidelity and loyalty. The official encouraged the participating teams to become sportsperson in life. The programme was followed by the draw of fixture for the tournament.
The 4th Master Shield Trophy, organised by Mokokchung District Cricket T20 Federation, will begin at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex from February 10. Nine teams including the previous year’s champions, Vincent, will be competing for the title.
