Kohima, Sep. 24 (EMN): Tyrants FC and KVSU, Kohima village registered win on the third day of 20th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at the Kohima local ground on Tuesday, September 24.
Tuesday’s first match was played between Tyrants FC and Valley View Team. Vilhouvoto Sale of Tyrants FC netted the first goal in the 4th minute and Luke Seb equalised for Valley View team in the 9th minute to make it 1-1.
After a short gap, Ketozo Thapru scored a goal in the 17th minute to give Tyrants FC a 2-1 lead in the first half.
After the breather, both teams came back with renewed effort to seal the match and Menguse Sale scored in the 52nd minute and Ketozo Thapru netted his second goal in the 66th minute to make it 4-1 for Tyrants FC.
Ashevei of Valley View scored a goal in the 77th minute which was not enough and lost 2-4 to Tyrants FC.
In the second match, KVSU, Kohima village mauled Nagaland University Kohima Campus 11-1. Neikethozo Yhome registered the first goal of the match for KVSU in the 22nd minute followed by another goal by Dziesedilhou Yhome in the 24th minute. Neikethozo Yhome scored his second goal in the 26th minute to make it 3-0.
In the 31st minute Keviphretuo Kire added another goal which was quickly followed up by Vilhoubeituo Yhome’s goal in the 33rd minute to make it 5-0 for KVSU in the first half.
The second half showed no improvement from NU, Kohima Campus as Visoseituo Sachu scored a goal in the 42nd minute and Veilhoubeituo Yhome added another goal in the 59th minute.
Within no time, Neikethozo Yhome became the third hat-trick scorer of the tournament in the 65th minute while Ruokuosietuo Sachu added another goal in the 70th minute.
Neikethozo Yhome scored his fourth goal in the 72nd minute while Vilhoubeituo Yhome also joined the league to become the fourth hat-trick scorer after scoring in the 81st minute of additional added time.
The lone goal for Nagaland University, Kohima Campus was scored by Menouvisie in the 67th minute.
