The Assembly of God Higher Secondary School in Dimapur on Saturday celebrated its 35th year anniversary coinciding with Parent’s Day. The event was conducted in the school’s ground.
Parliamentary Secretary IPR, Khekaho Assumi, chief guest for the celebration spoke on success of life than comes only with hard work and dedication.
He said life is never a bed made of roses but requires hard work.
He said parents, teachers, parents, management and the students themselves shares equal importance in the life of a student in order to achieve success.
He highlighted that the role of parents are more than just sending the children to school. He said shaping the child requires ‘teamwork’ which is the only way to conquer.
Citing an example of a coin, Khekaho Assumi advised the students to spend the school days wisely while asserting that a ‘student’s life’ comes only once in life like a coin if spent will never come back again.
Addressing to the students, the chief guest said that a student be it dull or bright doesn’t not matter but what matters is hard work and dedication.
He said with hard work success will come and that the capability to change will surly take place with determination.
The celebration included various entertaining performances like songs, dances, skits, traditional shows, etc.
