Dimapur, April 1 (EMN): Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, inaugurated a street vendors market-cum-extension of community hall at Lower Forest Colony in Kohima on March 31.
Speaking at the inaugural function, Dr. Kire called upon the residents of the colony to continue extending their cooperation and also urged them to take good care of the asset to benefit them, a DIPR report stated.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]The chairman of Forest Colony Union (FCU), Peter K Rengma, presented a brief technical report on the construction. He informed that the street vendors market was constructed by Urban department through State Urban Development Agency under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Livelihood Mission.
Also speaking on the occasion, the director of Urban and State Mission for National Urban Livelihood Mission, Takatuba Aier, has urged the people to take care of the property to serve the public in the best way.
Earlier, the joint secretary of FCU, Hormila Zenei-o, offered the dedicatory prayer, while the vice chairman of FCU, Tevi Chüsi, delivered the vote of thanks.
