Mariah Carey insures voice and legs for $70 million

Mariah Carey is going to great lengths to protect her money makers. The grand diva of Las Vegas has insured her voice and legs for $35 million each, reports TMZ. Carey is currently on her international “Sweet Sweet Fantasy” tour and has extended its run to South Africa at the end of April and early May. After those dates, she expected to resume her Las Vegas residency in June. Since so much is at stake, and should an accident occur, she wants to protect against lost profits.Insiders tell the site the monthly premium isn’t cheap and is in the ballpark of thousands of dollars. She’ll also need to keep in good health for her upcoming Tahitian wedding to fiancé James Packer. A request for comment from Carey’s rep wasn’t immediately returned.
