DIMAPUR — The Maram Bazaar Village Authority (MBVA), Senapati, has claimed that SP Mesiingaolou, who was recently arrested with contraband drugs at the 6th Mile area of Chümoukedima by Nagaland Excise Narcotic Cell personnel, is not a resident of Maram Bazaar.

In an update, MBVA expressed deep concern and disappointment regarding the spreading of misinformation and negativity tarnishing the reputation of the village.

The general secretary of the Maram Bazaar Village Authority, Aloysius Luikang, expressed dismay at the “baseless and wrong claim” made by a non-village resident, which tarnished the village's reputation.

Luikang urged the individual to publicly apologise and retract their defamatory statement.
