Imphal, Dec. 29 (EMN): The 85th anniversary-cum-conference of Mao Students Union was held under the theme “Continuity through Reformation” at Tobumai Village in Mao, about 110 km north of Imphal in Manipur’s Senapati district on Saturday.
Manipur Education Minister Thokchom Radheshyam and PHED and Printing & Stationery Minister Losii Dikho attended the inaugural session of the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Radheshyam said the task to make the future better lies in the hands of the youths and that they must engage in positive things to secure the future for the generations.
Stating that problems in life are lessons taught by God to nurture and make self stronger, the minister urged the young minds to remain positive and be careful in their approach.
A debate competition on the topic, ‘Scientific approach of agricultural practices is the way forward to sustainable development in our region’ was also conducted.
