Mokokchung, May 31 (EMN): Asserting that the Naga society is undergoing a rough and hard time ‘because of fragmentation on various fronts’, Minister for PHED Chotisuh Sazo on Wednesday asserted that ‘multiple organizations’ are espousing the cause of the people while collective voice of the people is lacking.

"Narrow parochialism should not grip us and divide us. Look beyond our village and tribes and view Naga as a wholesome unit and act towards the unity of our people. Unless we are united, our aspiration to live as a people will be far fetch and remain a distant dream," Sazo said. He urged the delegations to commit themselves to the unity of the people.
Saying that the founding fathers of the NSF had clarity of purpose and vision , he said they did not view the Naga identity from the prism of tribe. Also, he mentioned that the Nagaland government led by Chief Minister Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu was ‘striving its best for all round development of Nagaland, adding, streamlining of appointments is being made to give just and fair opportunity to all.’ However, he admitted that the state alone cannot provide jobs to all but needed complimenting partners. In this connection, he urged the the students to become job providers instead of job seekers.
He also stated that our society is berserk with a lot of paradox and binary of opposite an particularly with the leaders be it in the field of politics , social work, church ministry, government office etc .
In this regard, he opined that changing our attitude and mindset toward positive thinking with decency, honesty, humility and integrity is required. "Changing is difficulty no doubt but impossible," he said .
