Imphal, Dec. 12 (EMN): Manipur has received the best performance award in teleconsultations category of Health and Wellness Centres (small state) on Ayushman Bharat Deewaj Universal Health Coverage Day 2022 held at Varanasi, officials said.
The award was given during a two-day conclave of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) held at Rudraksh Convention Centre, Varanasi in the presence of Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Saturday.
The first prize was awarded in the category of North Eastern/Hilly States for conducting the highest number of Teleconsultations on Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres during the campaign from October 12 to December 8, 2022.
The health ministers of different states of the country including Minister of State, Uttar Pradesh Dr. Daya Shankar Mishra, Vidadala Rajni (Andhra Pradesh), Banna Gupta (Jharkhand), Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary (Madhya Pradesh), Dhan Singh Rawat (Uttarakhand), Ravindra Jaiswal (Uttar Pradesh), Chandrima Bhattacharya (West Bengal), Dr. Sapam Ranjan (Manipur) and Dr. MK Sharma (Sikkim) were also present on the occasion.
Sharing photographs of the events in Varanasi in a Facebook post, Manipur Health and Family Welfare minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh wrote, “At Varanasi on the first day of the two-day meeting on the Universal Health coverage day 2022 with the theme ‘ Build the world we want -A healthy future for all ‘ in the presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh , the hon’ble Union Minister of Health ,GOI Dr.Mansukh Mandaviya and Health ministers of different states.”
'Manipur was awarded the best state Teleconsultation in AB-HWCs amongst the NE/Hilly states. At the Ministerial meeting held today, issues of PM-ABHIM and 15th Finance Commission were discussed at length,' he added.
Teleconsultation using eSanjeevani OPD platform was inaugurated in Manipur during a function in Imphal in August 2020.
