IMPHAL, April 5
Recalling the egression of first moving picture in the state in the year1972, the Film Forum Manipur (FFM) in association with Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) is all set to organise 'Mami Numit' (Mami means Image, Numit Day) Manipur Film Development Corporation (MFDC) auditorium at Konung Mamang in Imphal on April 9.Altogether 22 film related awards will be distributed to the different personalities of music video album including, cast and crew of the Manipur film world during the upcoming event.
This was disclosed by FFM president L Surjakanta Sharma during a press meet held at its office located Mini Shangkar hall at Lamphel Sanakeithel in Imphal West district.
A two member jury has selected the awardess out of 65 nominees, Surjakanta said. Besides 16 top music awards will also be distributed during the event.
Stating that there is a dearth of journalist writing exclusively for films in the state, the FFM President also informe that the 6th film journalist award would be given to popular playwright and actor Narendra Ningombam who writes a regular column on films in Hueiyen Lanpao, vernacular daily under the pen name Nani.
