
Addressing a media briefing at the Darbar Hall, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Singh made a fervent appeal to the people to give peace a chance and to trust the Centre and state government to bring normalcy in the state.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]He said those who are willing to return to their own homes, which were damaged during the unfortunate incidents, will also be provided assistance through housing schemes and ‘One Family One Livelihood Scheme.’
Nearly 47,000 who people have been displaced during the ongoing violence in the state are presently taking shelter in more than 300 relief camps.
The chief minister assured that the state government is not silent but working towards bringing normalcy in the state.
Ministers, MLAs and officials have been working towards evacuation of affected persons, setting up of relief camps and providing security, he said.
Singh went on to state that under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Centre has already sanctioned INR 100 crore (approx) package as immediate relief along with 30,000 MT rice for distribution to the affected people.
The government is also trying to provide all essential items to the people, he added.
