National Cadet Corps Manipur bags top honours at NCC North Eastern Region Annual Awards 2026 held in Shillong with multiple winners.

IMPHAL — The National Cadet Corps (NCC) fraternity of Manipur has achieved remarkable success at the NCC North Eastern Region Annual Awards 2026, held at NCC Group Headquarters, Shillong, on Tuesday.
The awards were presented by the Sports & Youths Affairs Minister, Government of Meghalaya, Wailadmiki Shylla in the presence of Additional Director General, Major General Anurag Vij.
Among the awardees, First Officer Bheigyachandra Singh of 14 Manipur Battalion NCC was honoured as the Best Male Associate NCC Officer of North Eastern Region.
Second Officer Harishkumar Khundrakpam of 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC received the Best Male Associate NCC Officer of Manipur award, while Second Officer Thokchom Prava Devi of 14 Manipur Battalion NCC was adjudged Best Female Associate NCC Officer of Manipur.

In the cadet category, CUO Konsam Moramba Meitei of 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC was awarded Best Senior Division Cadet, and SUO Leitanthem Chanchan Devi of 65 Manipur Girls Battalion NCC received the Best Senior Wing Cadet award Manipur.
In the institutional category, DM University of Science was declared the Overall Best College, while Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School was awarded the Overall Best School of Manipur
The NCC Group Headquarters Imphal, along with all units of the state, conveyed congratulations to the awardees.
"The achievements have brought pride to Manipur and stand as a testament to the dedication, discipline, and excellence of its NCC officers, cadets, and institutions," said Wing Commander Mutum Sandip Singh in a statement on Tuesday.
