[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ANIPUR’S computer science student Tikendrajit Keisham of Keishamthong Bazar in Imphal West district won the best guitarist award of the country.
The engineering student of Manipur Institute of Technology Takyelpat returned home with Gibson Les Paul 60’s Guitar after he won the coveted Furtados Ultimate Guitarist 2013 (Judges Choice) award.Tikendrajit was adjudged as Judges Choice from amongst the top 15 finalists who hailed from different parts of the country after subsequent screening round of hundreds of guitarists (including professionals) nationwide in the competition.
With backing track composed by Daniel Kenneth Rego, a jury of the contest, Tikendrajit participated in the competition by submitting his live video for the competition in the video sharing channel Youtube.com.
It may worth mentioning here that the Furtados Ultimate Guitarist Video Contest is a 3-month-long Battle in search for the best guitarist in India. The Battle went through a series of public voting rounds and selection by prestigious Judges.
