Imphal, May 14 (EMN): All has been set to hold the first ever ‘Meeyamgi Numit’ (People’s Day) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led coalition government in Manipur on May 15.
As announced in April this year, Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh will lead the meeting of general public in a move to provide easy access to the elected representatives and top bureaucrats and also to attend to their grievances from 10 am to 4 pm tomorrow.
In addition, all the Ministers, Administrative Secretaries, DCs, SDOs and Head of departments etc will also meet the general public at their respective offices across the state at the similar time. The general public would be allowed to meet the CM, Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Commissioners, Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and SPs to lodge their complaints and air their grievances during the meeting.
In view of the development, hectic preparation of setting up of a public gathering inside the chief minister’s bungalow was seen by vacating the parking lot this afternoon.
Similarly some of the officials including head of departments and Deputy Commissioners were issuing notification about the ‘Meeyamgi Numit’ observation at their respective offices premises tomorrow.

Khwairamband Keithel in his honour on April 9, 2017.
