Manipur records 4 Covid deaths; 201 new cases

Imphal, Feb.  6 (EMN): Manipur reported four Covid-19 deaths from Imphal East, Kakching, Bishnupur and Thoubal districts with 201 new Covid-19 cases, when 2,008 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Health department. 

The positivity rate is at 10 percent, taking the state’s tally to 1, 34,862 with 3786 active cases with the death toll at 2,063.

With 204 new recoveries including 157 from home isolation in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered Covid-19 cases stands at 1, 29,013 with the recovery rate at 95.66 percent.

Presently, 988 Covid-19 positive cases are under home isolation. Till date, 15, 39,654 persons were tested for Covid-19 at the various testing centres in the state, the release said.

As per latest official reports, the state has given 25, 68,152 doses of Covid vaccines including 14,57,095 first and 10,72,024 second doses besides 39,033 precautionary doses, it added.
