Imphal, Sep. 26 (EMN): Imphal East district police team led by Additional SP W Kasar on Tuesday picked up 46 persons for verification in connection with bomb explosion that took place at Mantripukhuri area in the outskirts of Imphal early on Monday.
The persons were picked up during a search operation in and around the suspected colonies under Mantripukhuri area this morning, police said.
Unidentified persons set off a bomb blast near the house of a businessman Mantripukhuri in Imphal around 2am on Monday, causing damage to some buildings. No casualties were reported, police said.
Another bomb was detonated in the same locality some days back, injuring four persons who had come from other states.
