Imphal, May 23 (EMN): District administration, Senapati in collaboration with the additional commissioner of Income Tax (Imphal range) organised an outreach programme on income tax under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and North Eastern Region Converses at DRDA Conference Hall in Senapati town, 60 km north of Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh Chaudhari, Deputy Commissioner of Senapati district said that entrepreneurs of Senapati should come together and have a consultative meeting with the district administration once a month to discuss employment generation and various activities that can be taken up in the district.
He also appealed to the members present to have knowledge about the importance of income taxes for better coordination.
Income Tax Officer (Ward- 1) Imphal, Laishram Ramcharan Singh, presented on the importance of paying taxes and ease of tax compliance through a PowerPoint presentation followed by an interactive session.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurs of the district were also felicitated for their outstanding achievement.
The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (Imphal circle) Moirangthem Joychandra Singh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, HL Jain; Income Tax department officials; SDO’s; district level officers; contractors; entrepreneurs; traders and interested individuals and organisations.
