The irrigation canal dug up in the middle of the recently blacktopped road.

Dimapur, July 3 (EMN): The Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs) has urged the concerned authority to look into the matter of the damage to the newly blacktopped road between Rajaimai and Kangjang village, the only PMGSY road that link to Chakha village, the last border village of Senapati district with Tamenglong district by digging up an irrigation canal in the middle of the road.

A press statement from the ZCOs informed that even the kilometre indicator post erected on the road side was uprooted and used as a path for the vehicles to pass through over the deep dug up trench.

Terming it as a ‘wild and a senseless act’, the ZCOs further condemned the act of those individuals who dug up the road as ‘a total disregard to other citizen's rights and anti-development and anti-people’.
