Manipur: Nemnunhoi Khongsai is Miss Pineapple Queen 2022

Imphal, Aug. 22 (EMN): Nemnunhoi Khongsai of Saikul in Kangpokpi district of Manipur bagged Miss Pineapple Queen 2022 title during a beauty pageant organised as part of the two-day 15th state level pineapple festival at Bunglon village under Churachandpur.

The beauty contest was held on Aug. 20.

Nengjaikim Baite of Saikul under Kangpokpi district and Irengbam Pinky Devi of Moirang in Bishnupur district were crowned 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

Altogether 14 beauties from various parts of the state participated in the beauty contest which was organised to popularise the pineapple farming.

The beauty contest was held after a gap of almost three years.

More than 50 pineapple cultivators actively participated in the pineapple festival. The organisers also awarded three best pineapple growers namely Lamhoi of Khousabung, Iryn Chinneihtheing of Bunglong and Hatchin of Molvon village, all under Churachandpur district.
