IMPHAL — Advisor to Manipur Chief Minister and former minister Th Radheshyam Singh tendered his resignation from his post on Thursday.
Confirming this, former minister Th Radheshyam Singh who is the sitting MLA of Heirok assembly constituency in Manipur's Thoubal district in a resignation letter addressed to Chief Minister Biren Singh dated April 13 wrote, "I tender my resignation from the post of Advisor to CM Manipur as I have not been given any responsibility so far, I would like to contribute and focus on the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and also development works in my constituency."
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Radheshyam Singh was appointed as advisor to CM on January 1, 2023. He was elected to Manipur assembly for the first time from Heirok assembly in Thoubal district in 2017 assembly elections as a member of BJP.
He was minister of education, labour & employment in Biren cabinet in 2017. He once served as an IPS officer until he joined politics. He is also president of Manipur Olympic Association.
