Imphal, June 27 (EMN): As part of launching the second round of ‘Go To Village’ (GTV) mission of the BJP led government, Public Health Engineering Department, Printing and Stationery Minister L Dikho on Wednesday participated the mission at Robunamai under Song Song sub-division in Senapati district as chief guest on June 27 Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Dikho stated that the GTV mission has been able to reach people abundantly. He also said that it is the participation from both people and the government to reach a point of understanding by working together.
On the other hand, the deputy commissioner of Senapati, Somorjit Salam, appealed the people to take active participation in the government campaign of GTV mission. He also highlighted various schemes and benefits of the mission provided under different department. Schemes and benefits from different department are given out to the eligible beneficiaries. Several stalls were also opened under different department providing various forms and schemes to the people.
The first round of GTV mission was formally launched by Chief Minister N Biren at Konuma village in Imphal West district on May 1. It was initially implemented in 60 villages of the 60 assembly constituencies and aimed at identifying the eligible and deserving beneficiaries in every corner of the state and delivering the government services at their doorsteps to make Manipur a model state for development in the country.
The villages to be covered in the ongoing GTV include 105 villages in Churachandpur district; 40 in Kangpokpi district; 19 in Kamjong district; 16 in Pherzwal district; 12 in Imphal West district; 11 each in Senapati, Chandel, and Imphal East District; ten each in Urkhul and Tamenglong district; seven in Tengnoupal district; six in Noney district; five in Bishnupur district; four in Thoubal district; three Jiribam district; and two in Kakching district.
Meanwhile, Health Minister L Jayentakumar attended 5th phase GTV camp at Keishamthong Irom Pukhuri Mapal in Imphal. While Forest and Environment Minister Thounaojam Shyamkumar attended the 5th phase GTV camp at the Angtha village under Andro Assembly Constituency in Imphal East district.
Speaking to media, Minister Shyamkumar said that the mission has brought the various govt. schemes at the doorsteps of the public, bringing transparency between the government and the public.
Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen distributed deliverables to over 1000 beneficiaries who were benefitted under various governmental schemes at the 5th phase GTV camp at the Haipi village under the Champhai sub-division in Kangpokpi district. Education Minister Th Radheshyam also similar GTV camp at Heirok in Thoubal district on Wednesday.
