Manipur Hill Areas Committee chairman election on April 12

Imphal, April 9 (EMN):  Election to the office of Chairman, Hill Areas Committee (HAC) of the Manipur Legislative Assembly will be held at 11 am on April 12.

The notification issued by K Meghajit Singh, Secretary, Manipur Legislative Assembly, added that Letpao Haokip, Member of HAC has been appointed to preside over the said election.

As such, all members of the HAC have been requested to attend the election at the aforementioned time in the Committee Room of Manipur Legislative Assembly.

Further, the notification also informed that Monday, April 11 (before noon) has been fixed as the last date for giving notice of motion by a member proposing the name of another member for the office of Chairman.
