Imphal, April 8 (EMN): Expressing the need to address the grievances of the needy by incorporating issues of drop-out students in the state, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the ‘new government’s approach will be purely on human oriented approach.’
In a recent survey, the state authority had detected about 40,000 school drop-outs in the state, he informed.
Interacting with officers of the organised services of Manipur at City Convention Centre in Imphal on April 8, the chief minister said ‘we all should work together putting best ideas and suggestions to execute and deliver for the benefit of the common people of the state.’
Singh said such interaction programme with officers of both state and central services is first of its kind in the political history of Manipur.
One of the objectives of the interaction programme is to highlight the importance of working together and cooperating with each other so that development for the state is achieved more effectively, he said. The purpose of the programme is to find out and explore new ideas and thoughts to fasten the implementation of the government schemes and projects so that it reached the general public in the ground, he added.
Seeking cooperation from the government officials in the field and head of departments, Singh also sought suggestions from the officials for the smooth implementation of the “Go to Villages” mission which is scheduled to be launched next month.
He also announced that deputy commissioner and concerned individuals involved in the construction of women market in Churachandpur district will be awarded on Civil Services Day observation on April 21 for their ability to complete the market complex.
Apart from seven cabinet ministers, MLAs, ADC members, chief secretary, and DGP, more than 500 top officials of the state attended an interaction programme.
