IMPHAL — Manipur Governor, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Wednesday chaired the 1st organising committee meeting of Shirui Lily Festival 2025 at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan in Imphal.
“During the meeting various agendas pertaining to the smooth conduct of the festival across all spheres such as transportation, security, crowd management, infrastructure, hospitality, cultural programming, promotional strategies and coordination among various departments were comprehensively discussed,” says Raj Bhavan press release on Wednesday.
Secretary to Governor, Sumant Singh; DGP of Manipur, Rajiv Singh; principal chief conservator of forest, Anurag Bajpai; principal secretary, commissioners, and other senior police, military and civil officers attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, members of Development Organisation and Committee on Protection and Preservation of the Historical Rights of Koubru and Thangjing Hill Ranges (CPPKT) called on state governor, Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on Wednesday and apprised him of the difficulties faced by devotees, who are unable to visit the sacred Thangjing Hills to offer prayers.
The governor assured them that their concerns would be looked into and duly addressed.
Security advisor, secretary to Governor, SP of Bishnupur also attended the meeting.
