Dimapur, July 19 (EMN): Manipur U-19 Girls team won the finals of ‘Oorja’ CAPF/ Assam Rifles U-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 held at New Delhi on July 18. Continuing with their unbeaten record in the league and semi finals, the Manipur Girls Team defeated Haryana convincingly by a margin of 5-1.
M Ratanbala, A Roja and Ranjta Hudrom scored one goal each and Ranjana scored two goals to help the team emerge as well deserved winners. The team had won the Zonal phase of ‘Oorja’ CAPF/ Assam RiflesU-19 Talent Hunt Football Tournament 2017 at Shillong last month before being selected to represent North East Zone in the national phase. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of state for Home Affairs gave away the prizes and felicitated the winners.
